"Bohemian Rhapsody" was one of the larger blockbusters I had the opportunity to work on through 20th Century Fox. The film starred Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury and went on to earn over $900M at the box office.
This campaign was special because our team got to work directly with the surviving members of Queen to get their blessing on the campaign and various elements. It had style, attitude, and a lot of heart, and we were proud to help make this the #1 movie in the world.
The strategy of this campaign was to introduce fans to the man, the myth, the legend that was Freddie F*cking Mercury. We had nearly 7 months to connect to fans through the songs they love, introduce them to the cast, create excitement and inspire through the Queen-dom, and countdown to release.
