Our two seasons as the social agency for ESPN's College GameDay were certainly eventful. ESPN came to us with a challenge to extend their content with a Gen Z audience. Why? Because Gen Z doesn't watch linear TV from 9am-12pm on Saturdays. They consume content all. the. time.
Our strategy was to give these fans a taste of GameDay... everyday. In addition to location announcements and weekly content, we went on campus to dive into student life and traditions to create fun & shareable content that could be put on GameDay's Instagram and Snapchat accounts.
The campaign - Because It's GameDay - was a reason to do things to the max, so we wanted to make the craziest and most passionate fanbases the hero. And when 2020 rolled around and fans thought they might not be included in GameDay, we helped ESPN make sure our fans were as much of a part of our show as ever.
